About Covenant Radio Your Hosts

What is Covenant Radio? We are glad you asked!

Constant rumors and the spreading of false information are issues that are plaguing and killing the unity of the church; it is often the cause of many battles of brother against brother. With a desire to help quell the rumor-mill and hearsay that spreads and plagues the modern church, brainstorming began for some sort of outlet for answers. As a result of constantly hearing people say "I thought they believed..." or "I heard they taught..." as well as hearing condemnations spread about without ever consulting the source for clarity, the desire and idea took root to create some sort of an open forum where people could go to ask questions and get information directly from the source. Thus, the idea of COVENANT RADIO was born!

Covenant Radio was created for the simple purpose of accumulating questions on a topic, and then finding a specialist that can provide information, in the hopes of shedding some light and clarity to many issues of confusion and discussion within the church. Since both hosts come from a Reformed Presbyterian background, the name Covenant Radio stems for their love of Covenant Theology and the wide scope of Covenant living. However, the show is not limited to just topics within the normal orthodox scope of the Christian church, but seeks to answer questions regarding various other topics that might not be more controversial, but nonetheless are discussed, questioned, and debated within the church.

Covenant Radio is a joint venture of the Reformed Theology Resource Center and The Apologia Book Shoppe designed to address the issues of the covenant and beyond as it pertains to various topics in the life of our modern Church. These issues are related closely to our approach to baptism, communion, eschatology, and worship.

Aside from seeking to provide a source for information on topics surrounding questionable issues today, another one of the main aspects and goals of Covenant Radio is to implore the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ to start thinking deeply about God's covenant with mankind, its implications and issues and how it affects our modern world. The hosts believe that many in today's Church have simply become "information centers" wherein they have never challenged or given much thought to any of their long-standing positions they have been taught throughout the years. One of our goals is to examine these positions in the light of the Bible and help others structure a proper, deeper and biblical understanding of the covenant and covenant living for themselves as a result.

While Bill and Jeff are the hosts, Covenant Radio is not intended, and should in no way to be viewed as the "Bill and Jeff Show." This is not a show about what we believe personally, nor is it a platform for us to promotoe our personal beliefs, and therefore please do not assume that because a topic, speaker or issue is discussed on the show, that it necessarily means we are adherants to it. Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't, but what we believe is not the purpose of the show. We have provided the forum for the listeners to ask the questions THEY want answered, and then we the hosts will act as the mouth-piece, taking your questions to the source, by finding qualified guests to discuss the issues at hand. So don't sit back and just listen, ask a question, and let us do the work in finding the answer for you. If you don't ask, then we have to discuss the topics based on only what we may know, and that won't get your questions answered. Stop listening to rumors, get involved by simply asking questions, let us take it to a source. That is what Covenant Radio seeks to provide.

William F. Hill, Jr. -- born and raised a dispensational baptist for many years, Mr. Hill came to the Reformed faith in 1995 and has never looked back. He is currently the host of the Reformed Theology Resource Center, one of the busiest and most visited Reformed sites on the web. Bill has been married for 18+ years to a wonderful woman and has three wonderful covenant and home schooled children. He is also very active in reaching out to those affected by HIV/AIDS and is the President of the Norfolk, VA chapter of He Intends Victory as well as volunteering time with ACCESS of Norfolk, a community outreach group for those affected by AIDS. Jeffrey T. McCormack -- born and raised a typical Southern Baptist throughout his late teen years. While in the USAF in early adulthood, he spent a handful of years in the praise band of a couple Assemblies of God churches before joining a non-denomination group that later became Reformed Baptist, and shortly thereafter the entire church converting to Reformed Presbyterian, he too has never looked back. Having thus been in a sense "around the block" and having a somewhat "been-there-done-that" experience in the various denominations, Jeff's experiences hopefully help him to be somewhat well rounded, yet charitable and sympathetic to others in similar faith situations. Jeff has a loving wife of 20+ years, and six beautiful home schooled children. Visit his personal blog HERE.
